1. For Barbour County, half of the people who won were democrats and the other half were republicans. Voter turn out was less than the previous years. More winners were republican than democratic overall. There were more male than female voters. It is important to vote so we can have a say in the people who run both our country and state. It is important to have elections so to determine the results of who the general population thinks should be running our state. 

2. The topics addressed included tax money, recreational activities, littering, improving education in schools, pets. I voted for the male candidate because he has many good ideas to improve the city. The candidate believes in more police control to keep the neighborhood safer and also a higher minimum wage. He also believes in starting a program to train homeless dogs so they could help the blind.
